Gore Bay Marina

Food For Thought:
Just east of Janet Head on the north shore of Manitoulin Island you will find Gore Bay, here a triangular bay cuts into the island leaving two tall bluffs on either side.

Buoys and a flashing beacon on Fish Point easily guide boaters to its southern end where you will find a perfect harbor and the town of Gore Bay.

Gore Bay is the government center on Manitoulin Island and also a popular sailing destination. The southern end of the bay provides excellent anchorage. The water ranges in depth from 15 to 20 feet, but shoals 3 to 5 feet at the extreme southern end. The municipal docks have bathrooms and showers.

The town itself has everything the boater needs including a bakery, grocery store, hardware store, marine store, laudromat, and a boatyard. Also availalable in town are medical services.
